Tottenham Hotspur are scoring goals for fun in the Premier League so far this season, notably thanks to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, but they still have to keep a clean sheet

Harry Kane added two more to his tally against West Ham United on Sunday, and also had seven assists for the season with a superb assist to set the prolific Son Heung-min ready for the game’s opening goal ahead of the pair combined again against Burnley

No team has scored more than Spurs’ 16 goals in the first six games of the Premier League season so far Kane looks almost unstoppable, operating in a deeper role and the spray passes behind for Son Gareth Bale is now in the equation too, making his bench debut last Sunday

The draw with West Ham was Tottenham’s 10th without a clean sheet and although they kept one against Burnley it now feels like there has to be some sort of radical change we could argue that Mourinho’s inherent prudence encouraged West Ham, encouraged them on the path to a miraculous return

But this is how the Portuguese have always done it He was never one to take the lead and go for the jugular, preferring instead to manage games, preserve and play it safe
