SBD World’s Strongest Man Championship continues today in Bradenton, Florida. It also advanced 10 of the world’s strongest men to the final. The athletes competed in three events, including Giants Medley, Deadlift and Keg Toss. The highlight of the day came in the Deadlift competition, with Oleksii Novikov the tough guy to beat.
After several failed attempts by competitors including British strongman Adam Bishop (GBR), Novikov set the new record of 537.. 5 kg / 1185 lbs. , A record previously held by Tom Magee with a partial fatal lift of 535 kg (1,179 lb) from 18 ″ from the ground during the 1983 Strongest Man in the World competition.
