PureGym apologized after one of their gyms likened their ‘workout of the month’ to slavery

The Facebook post, which has since been deleted, shared details of a workout titled « 12 Years of Slave » to « celebrate » Black History Month at Luton Gymnasium

« How dare you and your employees completely laugh at the pain black people feel?

« Black History Month is no joke Black people are no joke Stop making a joke of our lives Despicable »

A fourth wrote: « Someone needs to be held accountable for this and obviously anti-racist training is urgently needed throughout the company

« This post is totally unacceptable, has not been approved or approved by the company and was deleted as soon as it was brought to our attention, » he said
