This morning saw an unexpected turn of presenters today (Nov. 18), with Alison Hammond replacing usual host Holly Willoughby.
Fans took notice of expecting to see Philip Schofield with his usual host Holly and were surprised to see him standing outside next to the Christmas tree at the TV center with Alison instead.
Philip explained that Holly was enjoying a « well-deserved day off » today and that Alison would take over that day – even Alison pressed the all-important button to turn the Christmas tree lights on..
Alison’s appearance comes on the heels of tabloid speculation that she may soon come out on a more regular basis alongside Dermot O’Leary, although This Morning’s producers said no new additions to the slate have been announced yet..
Fans were somewhat surprised by the last-minute switch and some questioned if Alison would complete her screen test, many were excited to see her paired with Philip:

Other viewers have expressed concern for Holly, whose day off from the show had not been announced in advance:

Alison appears to have had a great time doing shows with Philip, although she did get a bit of a panic when she mistook a decorative suit of armor on the wall to celebrate this year’s I’m A Celebrity. . . Get me out of here! To a person, saying that « this big person ».
She confessed that she thought she was about to be attacked, leaving Philip in hysteria, and he later joked that the Shield was asked to « leave the studio. ».
