The full list of food chains that were open or operating take-out and delivery services during the second lockdown in England

The British are set to enter their second lockdown this year due to the surge in coronavirus cases

From Thursday, November 5 to December 2, the strictest measures will be in place to help try to bring the virus under control

This unfortunately means that more businesses and places will be forced to close for the next four weeks, including pubs, restaurants, non-essential shops, hairdressers and beauty salons

However, the government has confirmed the 21 businesses that can remain open for the duration of the lockdown, while others may still operate an online pickup or take out and delivery service depending on the nature of the company

The March lockdown forced many food chains and high street cafes to close, such as McDonald’s, Greggs, KFC, Starbucks, Costa and Subway

But it looks like there are still a few exceptions this time around and there are also the chains offering delivery and take out

The fast-food chain will continue to open its Drive-Thru locations and offer take-out and delivery services via Uber Eats and Just Eat

McDonald’s UK Managing Director Paul Pomroy, however, said that some restaurants’ opening hours and services may vary, so it’s best to check for any changes through the My McDonald’s app and the website

We all know the baking season is festive, but whatever your preference, Greggs IS allowed to stay open this time around

The bakery will be open for takeout and delivery orders via JustEat, the Greggs website or the Greggs Rewards app

Branches will also remain open so customers can drop by and order from there, but rest areas will be closed

KFC is also one of the chains that will remain open for delivery and delivery during lockdown

Drive-thru services will also be available in some of its restaurants and you can also order take-out meals in store
