World news – GB – Scientists reveal the most accurate picture of the Corona virus, Covid-19

Experts from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, hope the model will help researchers develop treatments for Covid-19.

Scientists have released the latest illustration of a Corona virus ever made, mapping its outward appearance and internal structure

The visualization was created via a 3D model and combines the latest data on the structure of the SARS-CoV-2 virus causing the Covid-19 pandemic

Experts at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia have created the model and hope it will help create treatments for Covid-19

In a video clip, academics show their model which includes protein mutations on its surface as well as the genetic material inside the viral membrane

Scientists have released the latest illustration of the Coronavirus ever made (pictured), to map its outward appearance and internal structure

The visualization was created via a 3D model and combines the latest data on the architecture of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that has caused the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, from the inside and outside

‘Our 3D model illustrates the current evolving structure of SARS-CoV-2 at the atomic level and reveals details of the virus that were previously impossible to see, such as how we think nuclear proteins form a rope, says Ondog Strnad, a research scientist at KAUST Technology

‘The approach we used to develop the model could direct biological research into promising new directions to combat the spread of COVID-19, as it could help scientists integrate newly discovered information into the model quickly and thus provide up to date virus synthesis

To create the model, the researchers took high-resolution images of the viral surface from scanning electron microscopes.

These shapes reveal the specific surface appearance of the virus, and indicate proteins and receptors protruding from its surface.

It includes the viral spiny protein that binds to the ACE2 receptors of some human cells

This spike fools the receiver to open a path into the cell, allowing the Coronavirus to bypass defenses and infect the person

The diameter of the virus is about 120 nanometers, which is about 1,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair.

Experts at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia who devised the model hope it will help develop treatments and vaccines for Covid-19

One of the leading candidate vaccines for Coronavirus has proven to be 90 percent effective, marking a major achievement in the global race to stop the disease

Pfizer and BioNTech said today that the preliminary results of a massive clinical trial indicate that nine out of ten people who receive their vaccine are protected from the Coronavirus.

In an update on the progress of the ongoing study, pharmaceutical companies said that of 94 people with the virus to date, at least 86 of them were in the placebo group.

The placebo group is the group in which people are given a placebo vaccine so that what happens to them can be compared to those who get the real thing. Pfizer’s trial split the participants in half and half between the vaccine and placebo groups.

The company’s chairman hailed the hack as a « great day of knowledge » while independent experts said the results were « excellent » and « really impressive »

This rise has been the primary goal of much vaccine and treatment research, specifically the so-called receptor binding domain (RBD).

The Pfizer / BioNtech vaccine announced today to be over 90% effective targets this specific region, for example

Professor Ian Jones, professor of virology at the University of Reading, said: «  Of all the current vaccines currently in development, the BioNtech product has always appeared to be the most successful because it focuses entirely on the part of the virus that binds to the human cell, the receptor binding domain.  » / p>

The model then added data from various other sources to fill in gaps in knowledge surrounding the internal coronavirus

This was then combined with information about how all aspects of the virus reside within the organism and interact with each other.

Our model demonstrates a PhD in Computer Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology: “Our model demonstrates the entire viral infrastructure as we know it so far, not just some incomplete spiky proteins randomly placed on a lipid membrane” Student Dr. Nagan Nguyen

The other available templates also do not show the inside of the virus, as its details are currently unknown

‘The Scripps Research Institute in the United States has provided us with the most likely hypothesis of endogenous structure based on current data. If this hypothesis proves to be false, we can easily update the model
