Coronation Street fans rejoiced after Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) plans to sabotage Tim and Sally’s (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor) marriage was shattered – leaving him to realize that he lost everything
With a sarcastic Geoff vowing to make Tim regret not inviting him, Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) took drastic action and lured Geoff into the house before locking him in the veranda
As he declaimed and raved he was finally released and he told Abi that she would not get away with it. Meanwhile, Sally and Tim exchanged vows and became husband and wife – but there was more turbulence to come when Geoff called the police
They arrived to question Abi about a bogus imprisonment, but Sally, Tim, Faye, and Kevin all backed her up, saying she was at the wedding at the time Tim added that Geoff was just trying to stir up trouble because he was hurting at the lack of invitation
Later, Geoff walked out of the store with a meal for one and cheerfully watched a cheerful Sally and Tim walk out of the bistro, beaming with happiness
Tim wanted to tell Geoff that he lost everything and everyone because of his actions and that he will spend the rest of his life a very lonely man
