Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) was already nervous about going on a date given the hits her confidence took in her relationship with rat lover Adam Bateman at EastEnders – and devastatingly, his meal with Paul ended in trauma as he drugged his drink and attempted to rape her
Honey was comfortable as Paul complimented her and told him she wanted to slow down because her last relationship had ended badly
However, when she made her way to the bathroom, the sinister Paul put drugs in her wine glass and Honey soon found herself touched by the effects.
Dazed and barely able to stand, Honey was confused and bewildered when Paul led her outside, telling her it was time to bring her home
She managed to leave a garbled voicemail message for Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) who knew it was irrelevant for Honey to be drunk at this time of day
When he arrived at the restaurant and was told that Honey was drunk and left with Paul, Jay panicked
In an alley, disgusting Paul photographed Honey, then was about to attack her when Jay called her and heard her cell phone ringing
He chased Paul away and was horrified to find Honey beside himself in the alley, completely vulnerable and probably traumatized
As Honey recovers, will she remember the events and be able to make sure pervert Paul is arrested? And will Jay support her throughout her ordeal?
