West Ham has signed Algeria winger Said Benrahma from Brentford in a deal that could reach £ 30million
Benrahma, 25, joins on loan for £ 5million but the Hammers have an obligation to make the transfer permanent for £ 20million, with an additional £ 5million possible in add-ons
He completed the first part of his medical exam on Thursday, but an issue arose which was resolved in time for the deal to be made on Friday
He added: « I love that prospect [of playing in the Premier League] I play football for fun above all else, but it’s always nice to know that you are joining the most watched league in the world, so i can’t wait to show what i can do
« West Ham are a historic club, which have been in the Premier League for a very long time. They understood and still include good players. They are a massive club in England »
Manager David Moyes said: « We are looking to attract players who are hungry and determined to progress and improve
« Said is an exciting talent with a lot of skill and the right qualities, which will complement the other attacking players we have in the club »
Benrahma, who will wear the number nine shirt at London Stadium, scored 17 goals in 43 league appearances last season as Brentford reached the play-off final
Although the transfer window closed on October 5 for Premier League clubs to recruit foreign players, they were allowed to do business with Football League teams until 5:00 p.m. BST on Friday
