Thousands of fans are allowed to attend every session of the World Darts Championship, but costumes are slated to be banned from the event later this month.

It means superheroes, Smurfs, and even the Jamaican bobsleigh team – all characters from last year’s tournament – will be absent when the promotion on Jan.. December begins.

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has received government approval to allow Alexandra Palace to be a third of the event full. Spectators may only be admitted from regions of level 1 and 2.
