Gillian Anderson has spoken about being « so humiliated » after a clip surfaced of The Crown cast dancing to a Lizzo song.
Anderson, who appears on the Netflix series as the late former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to chat about The Crown, and Seth decided to show a video that « Never That Should see the light of day « . According to Anderson.
During the interview, Anderson stated that the dance to Lizzo’s ‘Good As Hell’ was filmed on set prior to the Covid-19 pandemic during a break from a funeral scene. The video was originally only intended to be seen by friends of co-star Olivia Colman who wanted to share it with their dancing friends.
Anderson said, « She asked if we might be interested in doing it, and she would And then she’d only share it with her friends – the other dancers. «
She added, » Olivia apparently takes a regular dance class in the area she lives with some friends and when she does The last time they did was they danced to that Lizzo song, « Anderson explained on the show.
Although Meyers had a lot of praise for the cast, 52-year-old Gillian Anderson said it was » so humiliating » and noted that there was « so much joy and shame on her face ».
Meyers added, « I want to both say that you did a better job than Margaret Thatcher and to admit that I think that this is a pretty low bar. «
