The number and caliber of the entries is inspiring and truly shows the passion, creativity and spirit that Australian country music is cherished. Today’s Candidate Announcement event set the stage for what will be an unforgettable awards show in Tamworth in January.

Top nominations for ARIA’s Best Country Album of the Year 2020, nominated Fanny Lumsden with seven nominations.

Lumsden’s Fallow album was nominated for ALT COUNTRY ALBUM OF THE YEAR and ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Her song Fierce was nominated for APRA AMCOS Song of the YEAR and APPLE MUSIC SINGLE OF THE YEAR while these days it is for HERITAGE OF THE YEAR.. Also nominated for CMT VIDEO OF THE YEAR (Mountain Song / This Too Shall Pass) and Coveted Artist of the Year.

Other notable among the nominees are The McClymonts and Travis Collins, who participated in ARIA Country’s 2020 album and have six nominations each..

McClymonts’ massive nominations for COUNTRY of the year, COUNTRY MUSIC CAPITAL NEWS GROUP OR DUO OF THE YEAR, and ALBUM OF THE YEAR with their sixth studio album Mayhem to Madness. Collins is ready for Contemporary Album of the Year, Album of the Year, Aberra Amkus of the Year, CMT’s Video of the Year, and APPLE SINGLE OF THE YEAR, (Rainy Day), plus Artist of the Year.

Casey Barnes adds four Golden Guitar nominations for his 2020 ARIA Album. Barnes’ Town of A Million Dreams will compete for Contemporary Album of the Year and Toyota Album of the Year. . He is also a competitor to this year’s male artist and this year’s lyric collaboration with Missy Lancaster for their song No Other You..

Alison Forbes receives nominations in four categories ALT COUNTRY ALBUM OF THE YEAR, Artist of the Year, New Talent of the Year and BLUEGRASS recording of the year with The Weeping Willows (Cold Moon).

The New Graces competes for this year’s traditional country album, Heritage of the Year song, COUNTRY MUSIC CAPITAL NEWS or duo of the year, and New Talent of the Year.

The artists who received three nominations are Brad Cox, Christy Cox, Luke O’Shea and Melody Moco.
