World news – GPP Pivot Games: Saturday, March 20th

The Los Angeles Clippers allow the fifth smallest number of assists in the league with 23.4 per game. This is because they have a solid defense that only allows 109.6 points per game so far this season. With that in mind, this statistic also shows that teams are able to score without collecting assists. By allowing minimal templates, you can imply that many of the baskets will be isolated or removed from dribbling. The Clippers play the Charlotte Hornets tonight. Coincidentally, the Hornets allow 28 templates per game, which is the most in the league. If a team allows more assists per game, it means they have to force the first pass from the point guard. What does that lead to? LaMelo Ball could get a slate-breaking performance at potentially low roster percentages tonight. The Los Angeles Clippers are currently in question with Beverly on the sidelines and Ibaka. The Clippers are still preferred by -9.5 points with 232 O / U courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Personally, I think the Charlotte Hornets will win tonight’s match against the Los Angeles Clippers. That might be a little ambitious, but if I look at the current matchups, I predict a Charlotte Hornets win on the back of LaMelo Ball for this game!

Dejounte Murray and Patty Mills will be out for the San Antonio Spurs tonight, leaving Lonnie Walker to lead the 1st session against Jrue Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks. Walker will be a popular piece tonight. San Antonio’s young point guard has been playing well lately and should see a significant spike in usage tonight with Murray and Mills on the bench. The perfect pivot here is Derrick White. Walker did very well against Holiday. Jrue has improved his defense immensely over the past three seasons. It is approaching the shutdown status. Lonnie Walker could (and should) have problems with the 6’3 229 lbs Bucks point guard. If Walker cannot properly control the offense, Derrick White or DeMar DeRozan will be asked to do so. White and Rosen are both viable in everyday imagination tonight. The dollars are favored by -11 points with a 229.5 O / U courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

The Milwaukee Bucks face a team from San Antonio, one in Dejounte Murray with no starting point guard and one in Patty Mills without Replacement point guard will get by. Lonnie Walker will be a popular investment tonight, but personally I refer to him as « bad chalk ». What is chalk Chalk is just a popular piece, someone a lot of people will rust. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton are the two names that interest me from this game. Jrue should have a nice matchup against 22 year old Walker and Middleton has the advantage of DeRozen (at least offensively). This game has an O / U of 239.5 which favors the dollars by -11 points, or -680 ML.

The Sacramento Kings are at the back of a back to back. The Philadelphia 76ers will do without Seth Curry and Joel Embiid. The Sixers are still favored by -6 points with a 230.5 O / U courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox have played spectacular defense lately. The Sacramento Kings allow opponents 26 assists per game. The Kings allow 119.4 PPG. These statistics indicate that points are being scored against Sacramento just not by the positions of the point guard or the shooting guard. Despite the size and strength of Simmons, I think Furkan Korkmaz, Danny Green and Tobias Harris are among the players who can benefit from these matchups. Harris has probably the best optics of the night. The Sacramento Kings allow their opponents to shoot 39.2% from outside the bow, which is the highest in the league. Rusting a player like Tobias Harris is an extremely smart move against the Sacramento Kings today.

I expect Tobias Harris to do very well tonight. Sacramento’s great men just don’t have the ability or body type to turn him off. Barnes and Holmes are just too big. I assume Bjelica will be leaving the bank sooner rather than later. He will be an integral part of this game as he will have to take care of Simmons and / or Harris. Bjelica is 6 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 235 pounds, perfect for grooming the aforementioned Harris and Simmons. Bjelica should lean heavily on tonight to keep up with the size and speed of the 76s. The 76s are preferred by -6 points with a 230.5 O / U courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Bjelica for GPP tournaments, lock him up!
