Welsh coach Wayne Pivac has dismissed any suggestion by some commentators on sports radio that his team was « rubbish » and would be « destroyed » this weekend.
« We were so busy until the first game that I was don’t sift through these comments and only now hear them.
« It adds a little spice to it, doesn’t it? People have opinions. We just have to make sure we’re doing good enough to win the game. “
The pressured Aussie, whose team only won twice in 2020, also defended Dan Lydiate after Stephen Ferris claimed the recalled rower’s best days were behind him.
» I don’t look up too much those comments, we see what he’s doing in the game, the stats and footage, and the people we trust the Ospreys to, and we value their opinions.
