Both teams certainly had turbulent moments in their respective seasons, but looked similarly younger lately.

United is currently in second place with 40 points, the Gunners in ninth place with 10 points.

Mikel Arteta’s team, who won the second leg earlier in the season, will be determined to repeat this feat to bolster their top 4 hopes.

And since the league leaders Man City last Time to look in impressive shape, it’s also important for United to score three points to keep the pressure on their neighbors.

With the exception of the Tottenham thrashing, United’s Premier League games against the big Premier League teams this season have generally been tight and cagey.

Cedric gotten just booked for a flying elbow when he jumps up with Fernandes for a header.

A corner falls to Fred, whose shot from the edge of the field is tilted wide thanks to a decent save by Leno.

Meanwhile moved McTominay is cautious after being hit and may have to jump.

Pogba tries to play with a passed ball at Rashford, but Martinelli comes back well to intercept and direct the ball to the corner.

Pogba plays through Fernandes, who beats David Luiz before rolling a shot just off the edge of the field.

Maguire puts his head in a corner but it’s a pretty tame effort and Leno comfortably saves it.

United probably cut that first half in terms of possession and chances but there weren’t a lot between the teams.

A cross falls on Rashford, but he can’t get a shot away fast enough and is dislodged.

Fernandes’ free kick on the edge of the field is deflected over the head of Luiz.

Arsenal had some encouraging moments in the counterattack but the defense was on top overall.

Solskjaer just got to the edge of the technical area, pointed to the edge of the Arsenal area and left. « Marcus, he can’t defend. He can’t defend. Take him if you want. »

A moment later, Willian finds Pepe withdrawing, but Maguire is really good at blocking the initial targeted effort .

Shaw crashes left and shoots Cavani, who distracts him under pressure from Cedric up close.

It got to the Uruguayan pretty quickly so he couldn’t adjust his feet to get it in To turn gate.

Some nervous Maguire defenders watch him tumble Lacazette on the edge of the area.

Moments later, Maguire can only steer a flank in the path of Smith-Rowe, the De Gea with one mighty blow tests.

This game stays finely balanced and it seems like anyone can guess who can win it, although a stalemate is perhaps the most likely outcome.

As I’m typing, Partey sloppily loses possession before Rashford’s powerful punch from the edge of the field finds the side netting.

There weren’t many competitors, but Sky Sports’ Gary Neville named David Luiz man of the game.

Arsenal will likely be happier with this result as United had a better chance of winning it.

However, there wasn’t much between the teams and therefore a tie is likely one fair result.
