Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been launched in India. Its price 176 lakhs (ex-showroom, Chennai). It is a cruiser motorcycle that replaces the RE Thunderbird 350X. According to the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer, the Meteor 350 is an all-new motorcycle lined by a different platform compared to other RE bikes. It is also powered by a new 350 cc engine instead of the unit which is like other RE 350 cc bikes like Classic 350 and Bullet. With this new offering, Royal Enfield wants to carry on the legacy created by the Thunderbirds and Lightning bikes. But unlike most other RE bikes that have often been classified as a classic offering. The new Meteor 350 is a modern classic motorcycle. The bike will be offered in three variants Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Each of which has different colors.
The all-new Meteor 350 features a prop cruiser-like silhouette, with features such as round headlamps, teardrop-sized fuel tanks, separate seats, round tail lights and mechanical bits. However, LED DRLs, black-out mechanical bits, alloy wheels, and disc brakes give the bike a mordern appeal. The bike gets a high quality handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a 17-inch rear wheel with a 19-inch front wheel with a comfortable fill to drive it.
The feature of
RE Meteor 350 is much better than other 350 cc RE bikes. It has a semi-digital instrument panel which includes analog speedometer and digital display for readout like trip meter, odometer, fuel gauge, clock etc. The console also has a gear-position indicator and ABS light. There should be Bluetooth support for smartphone connectivity. Riders, using an application, can pair their smartphones with the instrument console. Once done, the console will reflect the turn-by-turn navigation signal as well as the distance on a small digital display on the bike that the company calls a call tripper. This new bike from Royal Enfield also has a USB port.
