Jon Bon Jovi is a Democrat who campaigned for President Joe Biden and served on the White House Council for Community Solutions of former President Barack Obama. Bon Jovi is among the cast of « Celebrating America, » a concert to commemorate the inauguration of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bon Jovi is politically open and supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election campaign. He is also active in his New Jersey community with his Soul Foundation and worked with Governor Chris Christie on the Superstorm Sandy Aid.
Bon Jovi had an album planned for 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic began. It was originally supposed to be Bon Jovi 2020, and over the year the album got more politically motivated when he added tracks recorded in his home studio during the lockdown.
« It’s lopsided because it’s an election year, but It’s also because I have a clear idea of where the band is going, so that was the double intention, « he told GQ in February of his original name for the album.
The album was originally due to be released in May . He later added two titles, one on the death of George Floyd and one on the pandemic. He told the magazine that he wanted the album to unite and start a conversation.
