Todd Fisher tells it all in « My Girls: A Lifetime with Carrie and Debbie, » a new diary about growing up with Sister Carrie Fisher and mother Debbie Reynolds.

The « Star Wars » icon welcomed her only child, a daughter named Billy Lord, in 1992. Fisher passed away in late 2016 at the age of 60 of cardiac arrest. Later autopsy will determine that she has cocaine and traces of heroin, other opioids, and Ecstasy in her system..

“When Carrie became a mother, it was completely different,” Todd, 62, told Page 6 Friday. Looking at Carrie, “You’re going to be a mom, holy mackerel, what would that be?

« But what really happened . . . Clearly, Carrie was a unique mom, and that’s what kept Carrie with us, ”he shared. « I think we would have lost Curry a long time ago, long before Bailey lost.

According to the outlet, Lord, 28, issued a statement after her mother’s death, saying that Fisher “has struggled with drug addiction and mental illness throughout her life.

Lord welcomed a child named Kingston in September. Todd told the port that his beloved sister was going to be a passionate grandmother.

“Carrie could have continued with it,” he explained. « She is obsessed with Billy. She got involved with Billy herself and I think that will continue. I mean, look what happened to my mom [Debbie Reynolds], she bought the house next to Carrie to be close to Billy.. Debbie and Carrie didn’t even speak at that time. She would have bought the house next door so to speak.

“They are still a big part of me,” he said. “I feel compelled to seize every opportunity to keep their legacy alive and the things they championed. They were very strong and outspoken women. There have been very few women doing what they do, especially Carrie hiking due to mental illness and drug abuse.

“We were talking about traveling together and doing other things, and she was still a little mad at me because, a, the party that kinda had to squeeze her throat, but my mom wanted it, and B was always a different tension between my mom’s family, especially me And Carrie, in terms of his relationship to drug use at the time, « he said at the time.

. . . But when Carrie and I were coming face to face, there was no way to do any of that. It just faded, because the blood, the brother and sister bond, the bond, is so deep . . . She collapsed and said, « . . . We have to be okay with each other. It is the basis.

Todd released a memoir about his growing up titled « My Girls, » which he attributed to helping him cope with a terrible loss..

. . . He explained that losing a mother and sister very close to each other is devastating.. “I think what was most heartbreaking was the effect it had on my niece. Seeing the side effects of it is also very difficult . . . [But] looking at my mother, in particular, would be upset if I got depressed and became withdrawn. She wants you to get out of it.

“Now, of course, everyone needs to deal with it,” Fisher added. « I am a Christian. I think we’ll all meet again . . . My mother was a Christian. You believed it. Curry believed it. We will all meet again . . . Also, [Carrie] visits me in my dreams, and I appreciate that too . . . It was very cathartic, writing the book. It was heartbreaking . . . But I had to do that. Without Carrie there to write all of the family’s stories, I’m the last man standing. If something happens to me, these stories are lost.
