A statement from the club reads: « Juventus Football Club announces that Matthijs de Ligt received a positive assessment of COVID-19 during the controls provided for in the current protocol.
De Ligt missed the start of the 2020-21 season after shoulder surgery in August, but has since returned on May 21 November started 12 games in a row in all competitions.
