After suffering a knee injury prior to his rookie season with the Pelicans, Williamson was placed under « burst restrictions » where he averaged just 27.8 minutes per game. After being cleared for play without restrictions in 2020-21, the dynamic striker’s minutes rose to 32.4 mpg.

During his rookie season at the age of 22 Years ago, Malone averaged 30.6 mpg – just three minutes more than Williamson’s restricted minutes in 2019. In Malone’s second season, his minutes hit 34.8, again slightly more than Williamson’s 32.4 at the start of his second season. </ Often considered one of the league's fittest players, Malone has only broken 40-minute averages twice in his 19-year NBA career.
Other than conditioning concerns, Zion looked amazing at Williamson to start the 2020-21 season. In his first eleven games, the former number 1 scored an average of almost double double with 22.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
