After KAWS published special book editions with Phaidon for his exhibition « WHAT PARTY » at the Brooklyn Museum, he is now unveiling his latest COMPANION vinyl figure entitled SEPARATED. The indispensable mascot is almost 8 inches tall and sits with his hands in front of his face. The edition is available in three familiar colors: gray, black and brown.
The figures will be published in the museum’s new online shop for the exhibition, which also includes WHAT PARTY figures depicting the Michelin Man-inspired character of the artist named CHUM, the original versions of COMPANION, the skinned variants and URGE plate sets with four pieces show as jigsaw puzzle sets and clothing to boot.
« WHAT PARTY » is open to the public from February 26th to September 5th, 2021 and marks the artist’s first physical exhibition since the COVID-19 Pandemic. Over 100 original pieces are currently on display, including KAWS ‘early ad campaigns, collaborative work, furniture, and monumental sculptures of his iconic characters. Check out the SEPARATED image above and visit the Brooklyn Museum’s online store to receive “WHAT PARTY”. There you will find the full range of collectibles and merchandise.
Elsewhere in the art, Atlanta-based artist Greg Mike posts a selection of crypto art on Nifty Gateway with digital versions of his signature MAD CAN characters.
