AMC Networks has announced that Killing Eve will end next year after the fourth season. Fans of the TV show don’t have to say goodbye to the franchise entirely, however, as a « series of spin-off ideas » are currently being developed with Sid Gentle Films, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Specific details about the spin-offs were not disclosed , but it’s unlikely that Sandra Oh or Jodie Comer will be there. For those unfamiliar, Killing Eve was created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The comedy-drama-spy thriller BBC America plays Oh as Eve Polastri, a British secret service agent responsible for the capture of the Russian assassin Villanelle (played by Comer).
« Killing Eva was one of my greatest experiences and I am delighted looking forward to immersing myself in Eva’s remarkable thoughts again soon, « Oh said in a statement. « I’m so grateful for all of the cast and crew who brought our story to life and for the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season. » Comer added: “Killing Eva was the most extraordinary journey for which I will be forever grateful. Many thanks to all the fans who have consistently supported us and have come with us. Although all good things come to an end, it’s not over yet. We want it to be unforgettable! »
Filming for the final season will begin early this summer in the UK and across Europe. Stay tuned while we wait for the official release date of Killing Eve Season 4.
