A week later it was announced that plans for new stores were already in motion at the Rockhampton location.
The venue in the Rockhampton Time Zone offers more than 100 arcade games with a play area, bumper cars, bowling and party room, a drinks bar and a kiosk.
The stores of the American retail company TK Maxx include women’s clothing, women’s clothing, gifts and housewares, children’s clothing, luggage, men’s basics, men’s clothing, shoes, toys and women’s accessories.
Various builders submitted bids for the construction work, which includes reconfiguring the existing H&M lease.
There would also be new amenities, including a parents’ room and a new traveler and lobby.
The tender has now been closed and it is not known which company received the work.
