The Riot Games official broadcast of the 2021 season set the tone for the years to come. Shenzhen was selected as the city for this year’s World Cup in the League of Legends category.
Shenzhen is located in the southern part of Guangdong Province in the People’s Republic of China and will host the 2021 League of Legends World Cup. With an emphasis on the electronics and telecommunications industries, the city is a hub for overseas investors with the highest per capita income in the country.
It’s too early to find out where Riot Games is headed with this year’s World Cup due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the event was held in Shanghai, China with a « bubble » system to ensure the safety of players and staff. At Pudong City Stadium, only the final was open to a very limited audience.
Maybe we can relive what the whole world experience is like in 2021.
