Paris: Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar missed training due to gastroenteritis and his fitness will be assessed against bitter rival Marseille later the day before Sunday’s trip, the club said on Saturday.
The French champions PSG also said backup defender Timothee Pembele has the coronavirus and is self-isolating. Center-back Abdou Diallo, who caught the virus on Jan. 29, continues to follow COVID-19 protocols and will miss the game.
First-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas has an adductor muscle injury, and Midfielder Ander Herrera is not yet fit after resuming training.
Marseille won 1-0 in a bad-tempered league game at Parc des Princes in September when Neymar was sent off among five players.
