Founder Eric Broadley ran Lola until 1997 when businessman and ex-racing driver Martin Birrane bought it and invested in new facilities.
The plant closed its doors to racing car production in 2012, but the Lola name has continued to be part of modern day motorsport ever since through the ongoing services of the Lola Technical Center, which continues to provide wind tunnel testing and related services to a small number of companies, racing teams as well as road vehicle manufacturers.
A statement from Lola stated: « Martin Birrane valued ‘everything Lola’ and his family’s goal now is to find a buyer with the ambition, tenacity and drive to move on to the next chapter in Lol ting 62 years of illustrious history. «
» It is preferred to sell everything in one package. However, consideration is being given to separating the sale of the wind tunnel and the Lola property. The target price is £ 7 million.
« This opportunity is expected to be of interest to anyone looking to restore the Lola brand’s position in modern motorsport, providing third party engineering services, genuine Lola replacement parts supplies to support the thousands of Lola cars that still race today and continues to make cars like the iconic Lola Mk1 and T70 and make Lola racing cars and supercars. «

Also included is the special Lola tool, that put back into service for the production of a small batch of T70 Mk3B continuation vehicles for historic races was.
