The newest driver from Cadillac Chip Ganassi Racing drove the DPi-VR No. 01 with a lap of 1: 35.412 seconds, the fastest lap of the Roar Before The 24’s One-Only-Night-Session 31 (0.40 s) and that of Kamui Kobayashi (0.108 s) drove the AXR Cadillac No. 48 in the two-hour excursion.
In LMP2, Nicolas Lapierre from PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports was the top performer in the ORECA 07-Gibson No. 52 (1: 37.099), and in LMP3 continued to impress Riley Motorsports with Oliver Askew driving the No. 74 Ligier JS P320 (1m43.442s).
IMSA’s two WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT classes featured leading laps from Nick Tandy and his No. 4 Corvette C8.R GT Le Mans (1: 43.615 minutes) and Scuderia Corsas No. 63 Ferrari 488 GT3 (picture) with Marcos Gomes on board (1: 46.503 s).
UP NEXT: The teams have a short morning 20-minute warm-up and conclude the Roar with their first qualifying race starting at 2pm. ET and will determine the starting order for the Rolex 24 At Daytona next weekend based on the finish order of the 100-minute race. It is scheduled to air on NBCSN and through NBC Sports’ live streaming platform.
