Mama June cut out her job for her when she’s trying to stay sober … telling us it’s an everyday struggle to stave off her addiction while trying to mend her relationship with her family.
The reality star joined us on TMZ Live on Friday for an uplifting chat about how she’s spinning about her life after her astronomically expensive drug addiction. Not only did she temporarily lose her family, but it cost her nearly $ 1 million … the amount she and her BF Geno took on drugs the year before they cleaned up.
June tells us that she must be patient in her struggle to return to her children’s grace, and while she admits it has been a hit and miss so far … it doesn’t let that stop her from staying present and keeping in touch.
Honey Boo Boo’s mom says she and Geno went into rehab in January 2020 and have been sober since then – but she says fighting her addiction when they got out was made difficult by the COVID-19 pandemic
June explained how she used social media to hold herself accountable for her sobriety while coping with life in quarantine.
One more thing … she’s on TV again – « Mama June: Road to Redemption » premieres on WeTV on Friday night, however June says she focused on her daily struggles … for sobriety and family.
I have to say it’s really remarkable to see where June is today compared to her lows in 2019. If you Had not previously rooted for them, it could change your mind.
