World news – Manager Moyes ‘happy’ at West Ham despite Celtic rumors

Manager David Moyes insists he has no intention of leaving West Ham after taking them to fourth place in the Premier League.

Neil Lennon’s departure from Celtic has resulted in the Scot was associated with a return to Parkhead, where he began his career as a player.

Moyes has a clause in his contract that will automatically extend beyond this season, while co-owner David Sullivan is expected to make him an improved offer.

The 57-year-old said, « I have no intention of going anywhere. I’ve already spoken to David Sullivan, we’re up to date and things are going quietly.

 » I don’t want to, that something is getting in the way of what we’re doing. I’m not going to come out and say that I’m signing a big contract or doing anything else that could change things in any way. I just want to do the job and try to be professional.

« I’m really happy here , I enjoy the people I work with and there has been a huge improvement here at West Ham on and off the field. « 

 » I hope to keep improving them and hope we can start keep our position in the league we’re in right now.

« The truth is, I have something that when we’re done is over the 13th, which it automatically kicks in anyway when I do choose it – it’s still my choice.

« As I said, there is no great panic and I don’t feel pressured by it. I don’t want anyone in the club or anyone else to feel pressured by it, because we’ll fix it. «
