Thanks to Youtube user ‘Rampage TV’ who put together over eight minutes of graphic comparison video, we can see how impressive the Mass Effect remasters look compared to the original games.
The video is superbly edited and shows parts of the Legendary Edition reveal trailer compared to the same parts that were included in the original trilogy.
As you can see, the biggest upgrade comes in the texture and resolution department where in the new re-release the Trilogy all pops out versus the blurry resolution in the old games.
BioWare is sticking to the original Unreal Engine 3 for the remastered trilogy, although there has been some speculation that they could be remastered in UE4. Mac Walters, the director of games, said the next Mass Effect game will be made with the UE4.

FemShep by ME3 will be playable from ME1 for the first time in the series.
The most radical improvements come to Mass Effect 1 with much more significant visual and playful improvements. This makes sense since the first Mass Effect game was released over thirteen years ago.
It hasn’t aged well, that’s for sure. Any real Mass Effect fan will find it so satisfying to replay it.
