Sebastian Vettel starts his first season with Aston Martin due to some scarring in the 2020. The ex-Ferrari driver had a tough time in the cockpit of the SF1000 last year and only scored 33 points in 17 races. Questions have been raised as to whether the German can ever regain its old form. However, Vettel seems to have the support of rival McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl.

Seidl believes that Vettel’s experience will benefit him and supports him in changing things this year.

He said (translated via Google): « You don’t have to feel sorry for Sebastian. He is a four-time world champion and very experienced. I think he can bear the bad luck that he probably had because of his experience. »

2021 will be an important season for Vettel will want to avenge his results from last year and respond to his critics. But with a few obstacles in testing and a highly competitive midfield during the races, it will be quite a challenge for Vettel to come out as the best of the others. He has to start strong, otherwise the season could develop pretty quickly.

However, the McLaren team boss assumes that Vettel will shoot at all cylinders from the opening lap on March 28th.

Seidl expects that the British team and Vettel give his team a headache. He said: « I assume that Aston Martin will be very competitive with Sebastian from the first race and will be a tough opponent for us. »

Nonetheless, Andreas hopes that his team will be in the settlement for the fight for the third place can stay. Although he does acknowledge that behind Mercedes and Red Bull, the order of the pursuers is difficult to decipher, especially considering how all midfield teams have strengthened themselves over the winter.

The 2021 F1 season certainly looks like a delightful prospect. It could be one of the best, most unpredictable times of the year in a while. However, it’s probably best to hold onto the verdict until the first race is over and dusted off.
