Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone focused on a lot more than just basketball ahead of Tuesday’s game against Orlando Magic.

Malone honored the 10 victims of Monday’s shooting in Boulder, Colorado by adding he read their names and paused after each one.

He also offered his thoughts to the relatives of Denny Stong, Neven Stanisic, Rikki Olds, Tralona Bartkowiak, Suzanne Fountain, Teri Leiker, Kevin Mahoney, Lynn Murray, Jody Waters and to cop Eric Talley while urging that action be taken to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future.

It’s about more than basketball.

Before today’s game, coach Malone expressed his feelings about the tragic events that took place in Boulder yesterday.

CNN’s Amir Vera, Jason Hanna and Madeline Holcombe found that a 21-year-old suspect was exposed to ten first-degree murders in the shootings that took place at a King Soopers store This isn’t the first time Malone has used his time with the press to discuss a shoot in Colorado.
