World news – Mighty Ducks Star turns life around

The Mighty Ducks star, who has had a difficult few years marked by multiple arrests and drug use, is celebrating a year of sobriety, his close friend Drew Gallagher told TMZ.

42-year-old Weiss continues to live in a sober facility in California and has also chosen to postpone his Christmas celebrations so he can open presents on his sober anniversary, Gallagher said.

The former child star who played Goldberg in the Mighty Ducks films continues to be led by Dr. Gabe Rosenthal completely supplied by a dentist.

The dentist previously told page 6 that he was giving Weiss new teeth for free because the actor’s methamphetamine addiction was ruining his and he wanted Weiss to thrive. The entire process, which included mending broken root tips and removing infection, would typically cost around $ 105,000.

« His smile definitely gave him a boost in his step. He was definitely doing well, but without that smile he was kind of dejected, » said Rosenthal in September. « Now he’s starting to perform again. »

Weiss was arrested in August 2018 for public poisoning and then in January 2020 for breaking into residential areas while allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine.
