BIG LAKE – A Monticello man died in a head-on accident Thursday morning near Big Lake.
Sheriff Joel Brott of Sherburne County says the accident happened when the 86-year-old was Ronald Olson lost control of the car he was driving and crossed the center line while driving east on County Road 14 south of Highway 10.
Olson lost control of the vehicle and vehicle at a turn slipped into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, 36-year-old Michael Grimley from Big Lake, was injured in what was not considered life threatening.
