World news – MotoGP: Suzuki reveals livery ahead of Qatar test in 2021

Suzuki presented its brand new MotoGP livery in 2021 in a presentation at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

Before the opening day of the official test campaign in Qatar, the winners of last year’s driver and team championship came together to celebrate their new designed Suzuki GSX-RR.

The 2021 paint scheme of Suzuki retains the eye-catching blue and silver design from last season, which was introduced on the occasion of the manufacturer’s 60th anniversary. The big change this year is the introduction of the Monster Energy logos, with the energy drink company coming on board as the team’s main sponsor.

The bottom of the bike is now black and features the iconic green Monster Energy logo . These colors and logos are also found on the front fender and on each side of the screen. A fluorescent green stripe also circulates the inside of the tires. Monster Energy also sponsors the Yamaha factory team.

The team is the only one in the paddock that will keep both riders for the coming season. Reigning champion Joan Mir and last year’s third-placed Alex Rins stay on the pitch.

However, Suzuki will defend its first world championship in 20 years without former team manager Davide Brivio. He has switched to Alpine Formula 1, which had previously driven under the Renault banner for 2021.

Suzuki has decided not to replace Brivio and instead to use the expertise already available in the team to set up a leadership committee to build. This management committee consists of:

Although Mir decided to keep his traditional number 36 on the front, the 2020 champion put the logo of his special champion on the screen of the motorcycle.

The first day of the official Qatar testing starts at 11am here in the UK and drivers can do laps until 6pm tonight. The same schedule applies to the second and last day of the first test tomorrow (March 7th).

An agreement was reached that Hungary will already host a MotoGP round of &nbsp.
