Ten people, including one police officer, were killed in a shooting in a Colorado grocery store on Monday.
Eric Talley Boulder’s 51-year-old police veteran became the first officer to visit the grocery store on Monday afternoon King Soopers arrived.
Police Chief Maris Herold did not provide any further details about the victims, but said a suspect was wounded in the shooting and the possible motive for the attack is as yet unknown.

According to NBC, eyewitnesses were appalled at the senseless violence in the store.
Dean Schiller, an eyewitness, said he heard gunshots and saw people being injured, and a clerk at the store told him there was a gunman inside.
The NBC subsidiary television station KU SA from Denver reported a man who had gone to the store with his daughters to get the Covid-19 vaccination and who hid in a closet for an hour until they were rescued by the authorities.
SWAT vehicles and dozens of police officers armed with tactical gear and camouflage were seen in the store, and some of the store’s windows appeared to be broken, NBC reported.According to NBC, a man was seen carrying the Left store with his hands behind his back at the authorities. It is still unclear whether this person, who was not wearing a shirt or pants and had blood on his leg, was the culprit.
A few minutes later, a number of people were seen walking in the grocery store and being surrounded by police officers .
Jared Polis, governor of Colorado, described the shooting as an « unspeakable event » and watched the incident closely.
« I am incredibly grateful to the brave men and women who responded to the scene To help victims of this senseless tragedy, « he said.
