We have a jam-packed NBA list on Sunday with 10 games spread out throughout the day, most of which have tight lines. We’re starting with one who should be bigger than he is.

After their February 8 home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Denver Nuggets were nearly a third of their season and on the surface they seemed just another mediocre team . They sat on the sidelines of the Western Conference playoff race with a record of 12:11 and Jamal Murray, fresh from a 4-of-17 appearance, shot just 44 percent in the season and 34 percent from three.

On closer inspection, their positive net rating of 2.7 – good enough for sixth place in the league – warned of a team that was not reaching their potential.

Sure enough, since then they have had the second-best net rating with a plus of 9.0 in basketball. and a much improved 13-5 record over that period. They are now within calling distance of a first-round streak at home, fueled by a rebound from Murray, who averaged 24 games per game averaging nearly 52 percent overall and over 47 percent from depth.

They kick on Sunday against a Pelicans team that set the fourth worst record against the spread at 18:23 – not surprising given the negative net rating of 0.3 this year. You have just lost in a row in Portland and competed in the overall standings with Thunder and Kings over the weekend. Maybe they’re ready to start selling by the deadline.

The Knicks are in an interesting phase as they haven’t covered their last two losses and their last win.

In short, New York did played many close games. That’s what happens when you mess up games because you don’t have a real point guard, which you’ve been missing for a while without Derrick Rose and Elfrid Payton.

Rose will be out on Sunday against Philadelphia, which is one of the Teams New York barely lost to in the last week, but Payton will be back. If you ask any Knicks fan how excited they are about it, you will likely get a concise answer given his years of gunfighting – just an effective field target percentage of .457 – and more frequent blinds driving to the sidelines.

Even so, the inferior Payton gets too be a help, which is questionable with Immanuel Quickley with a groin problem and Frank Ntilikina is better suited for an off-ball role.

Meanwhile Philly is still without Joel Embiid and will play back to back on the second night of a to make the trip to I-95 for this game in New York. Seth Curry is also out and Ben Simmons missed Saturday’s Kings win with a knee problem. His status is uncertain.

The Knicks had some chances to steal the last game and will attempt to go over .500 for the first time since before the break. They will do just that.

This is the second meeting in a row between these two teams. The Pacers win by 137-110 on Friday night. It was the second straight defeat and fifth lost cover in eight games. Indy looks well prepared to finally become part of her team with Caris LeVert. Their march continues here.

The Celtics have lost three times in a row on the pitch and against the spread and are not a very good team right now with a record under 500. At some point, you are what your record says you are there are. The magic isn’t good either, but they struggle and are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games. You get another cover here.

The Wizards ended their losing streak in five games with a 131-122 win over the Utah Jazz, while the Nets’ six-game winning streak ended with a 113-121 loss to Orlando Magic ended. The latter results shouldn’t come as a complete shock as it was the Nets’ third lost cover in their last four games. The Wiz have played their two games against Brooklyn this season and with a sizeable spread they will make it three out of three.

The Cavs have fought but usually run out of gas before the end of those games and were therefore able to do four of five not cover. But Toronto is in a bad place after losing seven in a row. There is no reason why they should get as many points as here. Bet Cleveland.

What else is there to say about the cops who keep finding new and creative ways to lose games? But they are almost always close and as a result, the bulls have the fourth best record against the spread at 23-17. That said, the Pistons themselves aren’t bad, with an ATS of 22-18-1 including five covers in their last seven games. The Bulls shouldn’t get any points here on the road against a team that has won twice in a row. Take advantage of it.

After LeBron James sprained an ankle and put him on indefinite pause, the prospect of a successful regular season for the defending champions is officially on the move. The suns have the best record in basketball against the spread and are 13-6 as a home favorite. You will press it on 14-6 after that. LA only has a negative net rating of 3.3 with neither LeBron nor AD on the court.

Two of the funnier players in the NBA (and some stealth MVP candidates) compete here with the only guarantee that this comes to the wire. Take the team to get points.

Gambling rule # 1: Don’t bet on the team that lost 19 games in a row. Rule # 2: Don’t bet on the team with by far the worst record in the NBA against the spread of just 12-28. Rule # 3: Never Take the Rockets.
