James Harden has said and done almost everything right since he was sold to the Brooklyn Nets in mid-January.
The eight-time All-Star and 2018 MVP quickly got on the same page with Kyrie Irving, who Brooklyn’s Be point guard and who would serve as shooting guard. He expressed his regret at how his chaotic breakup with the Houston Rockets had turned out. And as the general of the Nets, he threw himself into the MVP conversation by regularly posting triple doubles.
And then there’s the tour that Harden put on. During Brooklyn’s 112-108 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, it came again in the form of Harden, who called the center of the team.
Towards the end of Sunday’s first quarter, DeAndre Jordan got into an argument with a referee . After a brief exchange between the two, Harden stepped onto the scene and pushed Jordan back slightly so the two could have a one-on-one conversation.
Earlier, Harden could be seen yelling at Jordan, who was solid game throughout the season mixed with lack of effort. Earlier on Sunday, it was more like the latter – and it caught the attention of fans on Twitter.

Indeed Jordan seemed to wake up shortly afterwards. His thunderous bang in an alley put the nets in the lead with 42:40, in the second quarter it was about seven minutes. Harden got the support for the game and hit Jordan with perfect precision for the dunk.
Jordan ended with an outstanding game with 11 points in 5-of-6, 10 rebounds and a season high of four blocks in 28 minutes . His one-handed tip-in gave the Nets a lead of 110-108 with 11 seconds of playing time.
For Jordan it was his third double-double of the season and his 100th career game with at least four blocks, five of which were members of the Nets
And it wasn’t after the first quarter that he was sure to hand it over to them as a greeting
Earlier this season, in a game against the Detroit Pistons on February 9th, Jordan just seemed to give it up to play defense in the middle of a game.
During a break shortly afterwards, YES Network cameras noticed Harden’s frustration with Jordan. Harden, the perennial all-star acquired by the Nets on January 14th through trading with four teams, expressed that frustration by confronting Jordan while on hiatus on his defense.
The next day after the Nets had recovered from the Pistons defeat with a win over the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn coach Steve Nash said he and DeAndre Jordan had a violent exchange in Detroit as well, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Jordan responded with 12 points, 13 rebounds and three locks – and, according to Lewis, Nash praised the way the veterans center rebounded.

Jordan, an all-star for the Clippers in 2016-17 who led the NBA twice on rebounds, insisted his exchanges with Nash and Harden weren’t negative.
