Former Pistons forward Blake Griffin has cleared the free agency exemptions and is expected to sign with Brooklyn, according to The Athletic.
The six-time All-Star will join a team that already includes Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, all of whom have been selected for Sunday’s All-Star Game.
Griffin, 31, who agreed to a deal with the Pistons earlier this week, is giving the Nets (24-13) more help on the forecourt after they center Jarrett Allen on the Harden to Brooklyn deal brought, had traded away.
