The Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils meet Saturday afternoon at the Prudential Center NHL action.

Nick Ritchie would restore the lead of Boston in just under seven minutes, but the lead lasted all: 34 before Ty Smith linked the matter with two for the Devils.
The rest of the regulation solved nothing, including overtime, so that it went to the shootout, where Boston found the only target of the six attempts to show up with victory and start New Jersey’s season empty-handed.
Tuukka Rask took the win for Boston after stopping 20 of 22 shots, while MacKenzie Blackwood lost 0-0-1 this year.
Boston is 14-5 in their last 19 street games and 1-4 in their last 5 games total while the one under 4-0 is in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Boston is 27-7 in the last 34 meetings between these two teams and 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between these two teams in New Jersey.
The Devils were unlucky losers at the start and unfortunately that will happen quite a lot as they are in the toughest league in terms of realignment. I just feel like the devils are making a positive out of the other day’s negatives, so I’ll take New Jersey and the plus money as I think the devils will bounce back and steal one from the Bruins here.
