Nikon has announced the new Nikon Z6 II Essential Movie Kit and firmware updates to improve the performance of the Z6 II and Z7 II.
If you are into a bundle, Nikon has got you covered: the new Nikon Z6 II Essential Movie Kit is available for £ 2909 (UK) or EUR 3299 (ROI) and includes the Atomos Ninja V external video recorder, the ProRes enables RAW recording.
Nikon has also announced firmware updates for the Z6 II and Z7 II to improve focus on both cameras and the film options available (on the Z6 II). The firmware will be available from February 25th.

From Nikon: London, United Kingdom, February 18, 2021: Nikon is proud to present a new firmware for the mirrorless full-frame cameras Z 7II and Z 6II (Nikon FX format) today. Nikon is also proud to introduce the new Z 6II Essential Movie Kit.
Firmware Ver. 1.10 will be released on February 25, 2021. This firmware update improves the performance of Eye-Detection AF on the Z 7II and Z 6II and enables additional recording formats and video workflows when recording with the Z 6II. The new Z 6II Essential Movie Kit offers filmmakers all the tools they need to take video content to the next level.
After the firmware 1.10 update, the Z 6II and Z 7II cameras can recognize the eyes of human subjects, even if their face size is correct of the subject is small within the frame. Improvements can be seen when shooting in Auto Area AF (people) and Wide Area AF (L people). This firmware update also adds support for 4K UHD / 60p1 for the Z 6II video recording options and enables RAW video output2,3 for Blackmagic Design external recorders4 6 for both Z 7II and Z 6II. After the update, shooters5 will be able to record in both Blackmagic RAW and ProRes RAW formats.
