World news – NYC delivered record vaccinations of 478,000 COVID-19 vaccines last week


New York City administered a record 478,000 COVID-19 vaccinations last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Monday, calling the number a « big number. »

« If you have a recovery for us everyone is talking, this is exactly what we said to get that half a million a week, « de Blasio said during a press conference at City Hall.

The mayor said the Big Apple is on the verge of half a million Vaccinating New Yorkers per week.

« We’re ready to do more, we just need the [vaccine] supply. It’s all about supply, supply, supply, » said de Blasio. « We prove every day that we have the capacity and the demand. « 

Since the coronavirus vaccination began in mid-December, the city has delivered a total of 3,840,976 doses, and de Blasio says the Big Apple will shoot the 4 million shot this week -Mark will reach.

De Blasio noted that New York will soon see a « big surge » in Vaccine supplies await, « and this will allow us to reach whole new levels. »

« We are well on our way to achieving our goal, » said de Blasio of vaccinating 5 million New Yorkers by June.
