MANCHESTER: Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unsatisfied with a second place in the Premier League and said they want to pursue leaders Manchester City.

United are currently 60 points in 30 games in second place. United rivals Manchester City tops the charts with 74 points in 32 games.

United is unlikely to catch Pep Guardiola’s men before the end of the season. Solskjaer firmly believes that it is only the second runner-up in the top division since the last league win in the 2012/13 season.

« You can’t say that this is an achievement. Our ambition is high more than second place. I said when I wasn’t at the club you can never be satisfied with it and we are not, « quoted Solskjaer.

» Don’t get me wrong, our goal is Catch the team in front of us. Right now [City] has had a fantastic season, they have had three or four of them and we know the challenge ahead of us, but we have to take it, if you don’t then you are in the wrong place because that’s what I’m aiming for.

« The players really have to take on the sacrifice they have to make and the work they have to do. Blood, sweat and tears need to be put down because this is the best league in the world – and the most difficult, « he added.
