The San Francisco Festival Outside Lands has announced Lizzo, Tame Impala and Tyler, The Creator to headline its 2021 event. The organizers have also announced that the festival, which normally takes place in August, will be moved to Halloween weekend (October 29th-31st) this year.
Die Strokes, Vampire Weekend, J Balvin, Rüfüs Du Sol, Kehlani and Young Thug will also perform at Golden Gate Park over the course of the weekend. While most of the artists were originally slated for the 2020 edition of the festival, there is also a new list of artists for 2021. New to the 2021 lineup are Glass Animals, Lord Huron, Flo MIlli, Kaytranada and San Francisco’s own 24kGoldn.
« We have been looking forward to our return to Golden Gate Park for over a year and although we have to wait a few months longer, we couldn’t be more excited to present an epic Halloween edition of Outside Lands, « said Allen Scott. President of the concerts of & Festivals at Another Planet Entertainment. Outside Lands is produced by Another Planet alongside Superfly and Starr Hill Presents. “Moving the data enables us to work together to determine new security measures that are required for implementation on the festival weekend. We ask fans to use this time before the festival to continue to apply common sense COVID safety practices, and we look forward to being together again soon. “
The producers at Outside Lands are working closely with local and state authorities to determine this year’s safety measures. Those who held passports through 2020 will be honored with their tickets for the 2021 dates. For those unable to attend the new dates, refunds can be requested until April 17th.
Other artists in the 2021 lineup include Brittany Howard, ZHU, Nelly, Burna Boy, Angel Olsen, EARTHGANG and Sharon Van Etten.
