Schalke are only one game away from the longest run without a win in the history of the Bundesliga. A look at the miserable statistics of other top European leagues.

Schalke hosts Hoffenheim have to win on Saturday in order not to reach the Bundesliga record for most games without a win of 31 games, which Tasmania Berlin set in the 1965/66 season.
The newly promoted Derby set several records in the 2007-08 Premier League, including the lowest score of just 11 out of 38 games. The Rams’ only league win this season came in their sixth game against Newcastle United. However, they could not secure another win and were relegated in March.
Sporting set several records in the 1997/98 La Liga season, including the longest winless run of 24 games, although this spanned two seasons. They finished last in the top Spanish league with 13 points in La Liga, despite having won at least two games after finally ending the series on February 8, 1998. Like Derby, they were relegated in March and became the first La Liga to seal their fate before April.
Ancona couldn’t win a single Serie A game between September 2003 and April 2004, despite being in their 28-game run Had at least seven draws without a win. The Highland League team ended 2019 for more than 700 days without success with a North of Scotland Cup triumph over Nairn County. In the 2018/19 season, Fort William finished last in the table with minus seven points after deducting nine points and conceded 245 goals in 34 games.
