World news – Peter Andres « absolute COVID agony »

Former pop star Peter Andre said he is still fighting his coronavirus battle and that he just wants to sleep « all the time ».

The England-born star, who moved to Australia at the age of six and had a successful pop career here in the 1990s, was « extremely tired and unwell » after contracting the virus last week.

The 47-year-old Mysterious Gir l singer shared a video in which he extinguished himself on the sofa and put on the face mask while trying to recover. He titled the clip: « There’s one thing I’ll say about this virus. It makes you want to sleep, sleep, sleep. »

Peter had previously documented his test and the subsequent fight with Covid on his YouTube channel.

The clip begins with Peter driving into the test center. Both he and his GP wife Emily insist they don’t believe he has coronavirus, but they are careful.

Peter revealed that he was « incredibly painful » and had a « cough » and told the camera that he believed he caught germs from his four year old son Theo.

Emily agreed, « If I were a gamer I’d say you probably got a virus from Theo and it’s not Covid. »

As his symptoms worsened, Pete still insisted that his test would be negative and filmed from his bed as he shared, « I woke up this morning, I still haven’t got my results back when I woke up today, I was in pain all over.

« I was in utter agony … But I don’t think it’s coronavirus – my cough subsided and I wasn’t at a temperature. Either way, I don’t think it’s coronavirus. »

The Gimme Little Sign hit maker was then understandably thrilled to get a positive test, but shared his gratitude that he didn’t suffer as much as others with coronavirus.

He said, « It shows that it can be anything. I’m very grateful that I got this version of it, it’s not comfortable, but I’m very, very happy because I have a cousin who is still oxygenated Hospital and it really drives me crazy.

Ms. Emily battled the coronavirus last year and isolated herself from the rest of the family when she slept in a different bedroom from Pete.

The couple married in 2015 and they have two children together; Amelia, seven and four years old, Theo.

They also live with Peter’s older children from his previous marriage to Katie Price, Princess (13) and Junior (15).
