Detectives investigating the stabbing death of a man yesterday in Bankstown charged a woman with murder.
At around 2:15 p.m. (Sunday, March 28, 2021), emergency services were in a house on Rickard Road in Bankstown where a 49-year-old man was found with a stab wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and Bankstown Police Department officers set up a crime scene.
An investigation into the man’s death was conducted by Detectives des Bankstown Police Area Command, assisted by State Crime Command’s homicide squad.
A 37-year-old woman whom the man knew was later rushed to Bankstown Hospital for police protection.
Upon her release from the hospital around noon today (Monday, March 29, 2021), the woman was taken to the Bankstown Police Station, where she was charged with domestic violence-related murder.
