Garcia has spent his entire career in South America, apart from one season with the Turkish team Kasimpasa. The ace was a U20-level international for Uruguay and took part in the 2009 World Cup for that group.
Garcia came through the ranks on the Uruguayan side of Nacional and spent two time at the club when he was also in for River Plate his homeland and Paranaense in Brazil.
We want to send our best wishes and prayers to all of Santiago’s family and friends, as well as to the staff at Godoy Cruz and his former teammates.
