Residents of southeast Queensland are warned to stay indoors with hail and heavy rain that will hit the region on Sunday.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall in areas between Seventeen Seventy, Gympie and Caloundra on Sunday evening and into Monday, which can lead to flash floods.
In some areas, between 120-160mm is likely, while coastal communities, including Fraser Island, are forecast to fall 200-250mm within six hours.
Severe thunderstorms are forecast for much of central Queensland on Sunday, while Brisbane is expected to rain on Monday.

Mr Gray said the weather system is expected to intensify as it slowly penetrates south, possibly towards the islands of Moreton and Stradbroke and the suburbs on Brisbane Bay.

Storm winds between 34 and 47 knots are expected to sweep the coasts of Capricornia and Fraser Island. A dangerous surf warning extends south to the Sunshine Coast on Monday and to the Gold Coast on Tuesday.
A strong wind warning of 26 to 33 knots was also issued for the Mackay Coast, Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay.
A flood watch is currently underway for the coastal basins between St. Lawrence and the Queensland-NSW border, which extend inland to the Darling Downs.
The weather event comes barely a week after parts of NSW and Queensland plunged into chaos, with severe flooding claiming homes and lives.
