I know that Sevilla have lost a lot lately but they are still a good team and now the pressure of the Champions League is gone and Sevilla can only focus on LaLiga where they need to keep winning to be in these champions League.
Betis, on the other hand, plays their best football of the season and they have won 4 games while winning 6 of their last 8 games. Thanks to this great run, Betis is now 6th with 42 points and that is their place in the Europa League. On the defensive, Betis is still a disaster but the difference is that their offense is gradually weakening and that has helped Betis a lot. In their last home game against Alaves, Betis had an impressive 77% possession, 8 shots on goal, 12 corners, 3 big chances and a solid 89% of correct passes. Betis’ defense was terrible again in the first half and they lost 2-0, but in the second half Betis stepped up and they managed to score 3 goals and win this game 3-2. Canales have scored 7 goals and added 7 assists for Betis so far this season, while Iglesias has added 6 goals. Camarasa, Bartra, Martin and Ruiz are injured for Betis at this point. That amazing run certainly built Betis’ confidence and I bet they feel like they can beat anyone, but with the defenses inconsistent, I know they can.
Sevilla haven’t won any of their last 4 games while Betis have a 4-game winning streak. The trends are on Seville’s side, but I’m going to ignore them here. Sevilla cannot be trusted at the moment but anything is possible with Betis’ defense. I take the goals here.
